MRI Spine
Cervical-Lumbar Bulge and Herniation Interpretation
15 "Online" CE Credit Hours
This MRI Spine Interpretation Course is designed to take a doctor with minimal knowledge of MRI's to being able to understand how to interpret spinal MRI's with findings of bulges and herniations. The goals of this course is to give you the tools and knowledge base to become expert in interpreting spinal MRI studies. Doctors nationally in multiple disciplines have taken this course and can now successfully interpret spinal MRI studies.
I urge you with the strongest recommendation to take the 10-hour MRI Spine Interpretation Course (course #1) as a precursor to this course to give you the basics on MRI physics and protocols. That program gives you the foundation for this advanced course.
This certification course is 15 hours, done in 6 parts, with no computer experience necessary. The program is done on your schedule and can be accessed 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Where accepted nationally, this course offers both 15 "online" (pending) chiropractic continuing education credits certified by numerous State Departments of Education and 15 (pending) Category 1 AMA PRA credits certified by the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Module #1: MRI Disc Overview & Imaging Protocols
This module covers the basic protocols of MRI slices, views, T1, T2, STIR Axial, Stacking, FFE, FSE and Sagittal images. It reviews the concepts of bulging, herniation, extrusion, protrusion and sequestrations of the disc with graphics and MRI images to correlate to those graphics. The module gives detailed protocols as when and why an MRI should be ordered and what constitutes a quality MRI vs. a poor study. Nomenclature and documentation are clearly outlined to help fully understand reporting of the morphology of the disc.
After completion of this course, you can add the following to your curriculum vitae:
